The ruling parties held discussion on pre-budget as well as the issues like government's annual policy and programme, economic survey and budget.
During the meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar on Wednesday evening, discussion focused on the government's policy, programme and budget, said Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress, Ramesh Lekhak.
"The leaders underscored how the economy could be recovered and the budget prepared accordingly," he added.
President Ram Chandra Paudel, at the recommendation of the government, has summoned the parliament session for May 7. The ruling coalition discussed the issues to be presented in the budget session.
Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairperson of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairperson of Janata Samajbadi Party, Upendra Yadav, Chairperson of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Mahantha Thakur, as well as other top leaders were present in the meeting.
