India has registered its first win in the SAFF Championship and now has a total of 5 points in the bank. India has risen to third place in the Championship.
Nepal had won all the matches so far, losing only to India. The loss has pushed Nepal to the second position and postponed the team’s place in the finals. The Maldives stands at the top of the chart with 6 points while Bangladesh is in the fourth with 4 points followed by Sri Lanka with 1 point.
Nepal’s final game will be against Bangladesh on Wednesday.
