Domestic flights to and from the federal capital have been affected due to adverse weather conditions brought about by the start of the monsoon on Wednesday.
Flights to different destinations were affected due to low visibility following a sudden change in the weather. According to the domestic terminal office at Tribhuvan International Airport, flights to different airports including Biratnagar, Janakpur, Simara, and Pokhara have been canceled.
Two flights to Simara from Kathmandu have been canceled while Kathmandu-bound Buddha Aircraft from Biratnagar returned to Biratnagar after it could not land at TIA following bad weather.
Similarly, Kathmandu-bound aircraft from Dhangadhi landed at TIA after staying on hold for a long time.
Although domestic flights have been disrupted at TIA, international flights are in regular operation, according to TIA Office.
