According to mountaineer Pasang Dawa Sherpa, the mountains should be cleaned on a regular basis. He expressed his joy that the Nepali Army had carried out a cleaning campaign in several mountains, including Everest, this year 2023, and stated that this sort of mountain cleaning should be done on a regular basis.
Having climbed the highlands of Nepal and other nations, he stated that he has not seen waste in mountains like Nepal in other countries. He believes that if all members of the climbing team who travel to the mountains return the waste, there would be no garbage in the mountains.
Before travelling to the Alps, he urged that the climbing crew be fully instructed on hygiene. He stated that anyone who tosses rubbish on America's Denali Mountain will be fined 6,000 US dollars.
Pasang Dawa Sherpa has ascended Mount Everest nine times. He ascended Mount Everest seven times from Nepal and twice from Tibet to China.
Sherpa is a climbing guide who was born in Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Ward No. 2, Solukhumbu District. At the age of 22, he began his climbing career in 2008. In 2009, he made his first ascent of Mount Everest. He successfully ascended Mount Everest twice in 2010. He was successful in both the spring and fall seasons at the time.
Thus, the summit of Mount Everest was reached ten years ago in October.
No climber has ascended in October since his 2010 peak.
He said that because climbing Everest is dangerous, you need prepare thoroughly. He stated that he had been in danger several times. He climbed Everest alongside Indian climbers in 2012. At a height of 8650 meters, an Indian climber's breathing mask suddenly ruptured. He removed his breathing mask and descended without oxygen. Climbing beyond 8000 meters without oxygen is highly risky.
As part of the Nepal American Friendship Mission, he successfully ascended Mount Denali in America in 2021. In 2022, he ascended Manaslu with the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces team. He is likely to continue climbing mountains for a few more years due to his age.
