The tourism promotion and capacity building program organized by the Embroidery and Garment Association (EGA) Pokhara has been completed with the promotion of the Nepal Tourism Board.
During the program, Annapurna Knitting Industries Pvt. Ltd. and Pragati Textile Pvt. Ltd. in Biratnagar of Eastern Nepal were observed.
According to EGA Pokhara Chairman Bishwaraj Pokharel, the observation made by the entrepreneurs in the industry has provided information on many issues including the production process and quality of the products they have been selling and distributing.
He said that the embroidery and garment entrepreneurs have made special contributions to the promotion of Nepal's tourist destinations at home and abroad by preparing materials for tourists. Stating that the tourism promotion and capacity building program has added enthusiasm to the entrepreneurs, Chiranjeevi Pokharel, former chairman of EGA Pokhara and outgoing chairman of Pokhara Tourism Council, stressed the need to properly evaluate EGA's contribution to tourism through tourism materials.
Stating that the business has learned a lot from the visit of the tourist site along with the industry observation, he expressed the belief that the man-made tourism infrastructure like Bharat Lake would be an inspiration for other places as well.
Ved Prasad Pandey, Founder Chairperson of EGA Pokhara, Krishna Kumar Shrestha, Former Chairperson, Geeta Dhakal (Poudel), and others said that the capacity building program along with the observation of tourist destinations in Eastern Nepal has also developed new thinking in preparing materials to be taken as gifts by tourists in the coming days. The team, which left for Eastern Nepal with a four-day program from Sunday, returned to Pokhara on Wednesday.
