Govt to allow flights to China, Qatar and Turkey from June 1

The government has decided to allow flights to China, Qatar and Turkey from June 1. Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanubhakta Dhakal informed that the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Thursday had taken a decision to allow one flight a week to China, Qatar and Turkey.

Minister Dhakal said that the decision to allow the flights was taken to address the problems being faced by people Nepal and abroad. He also mentioned that the decision to allow flights to the aforementioned countries was taken also to put a halt to the various irregularities taking lace due to the ban on international flights.

Meanwhile, Minister Dhakal also informed that those passengers arriving from China, Qatar and Turkey who have received both the doses of anti-coronavirus vaccines will have to stay in home quarantine. Meanwhile, passengers who have been administered only one dose of the vaccine will have to stay in three-day hotel quarantine.

Passengers who have not been administered the vaccine but have furnished a negative report of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test taken within 72 hours of the departure date will have to mandatorily stay in 10-day hotel quarantine.

Minister Dhakal reiterated that the decision to allow flights to China, Qatar and Turkey was taken so that people who are facing problems due to the ban on international flights do not face further issues.
