The Nepal-US team has successfully ascended Mount Denali in the USA. The team hoisted the flag of the Diamond Jubilee of US-Nepal Diplomatic Relations at the summit of the mountain this morning at 5:30 am (local time).
According to team leader Mark Parallel, all members of the team successfully climbed the highest peak in North America standing at 6,190 meters above sea level.
The expedition team climbed Mt. Denali in Alaska to mark the 75 years of diplomatic relationship between Nepal and USA.
Earlier on 31 March, Public Affairs Chief at US Embassy in Nepal Garrett E. Wilkerson handed over the diamond jubilee’s flag to the team in Kathmandu and on 14 May Pasang Phurba Sherpa had successfully reached the top of Mt. Everest.
