The Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to ban visit visas to Gulf countries and Malaysia that started from January 21. Only those who have visited at least two countries other than the Gulf and Malaysia as tourists will now be able to visit the Gulf countries and Malaysia on a visit visa.
Spokesperson of the Ministry Phanindra Mani Pokharel said in a press release that after receiving the letter of recommendation from the Embassy of Nepal, it has been decided to allow family members within three generations to visit.
Similarly, as per the amended decision, the operators and official representatives of the foreign employment entrepreneurs (manpower), companies to visit the country for the promotion of foreign employment business will also be allowed.
Similarly, it has been decided to provide this facility to the representatives of business organizations importing and exporting goods in Nepal, representatives going for government work and representatives of banks and financial institutions doing international business. Last Friday, the Home Ministry suspended the visit visa due to COVID scare.
