KATHMANDU: The prices of gold and silver have both decreased today.

Gold, in particular, has been on a continuous downward trend for the past few days.

Over the past one and a half months, the price of gold has fallen by 22,500 rupees per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers, the price of gold today has been set at 148,500 rupees per tola, down from 149,000 rupees yesterday. This marks a decrease of 500 rupees per tola.

Silver prices have also dropped today, by 20 rupees per tola. The current price of silver stands at 1,760 rupees per tola, down from 1,780 rupees yesterday.

Earlier this week, gold prices increased by 600 rupees per tola over two days (Monday and Tuesday) but fell by 700 rupees per tola on Wednesday.

On Thursday, gold prices dropped by 1,700 rupees per tola.

On Sunday, gold saw a significant drop of 2,200 rupees per tola in just one day.
