KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has dropped by double digits. The NEPSE index has dropped by 16.95 points to 2,676.17 points.
According to the NEPSE, 16.77 million 649 shares of 320 companies were bought and sold 56,548 times, resulting in a transaction worth Rs 5.79 billion 7.791 billion 700.
While the trade group increased by 3.80 percent in today’s trading, the sub-indices of all other groups decreased. Banking group decreased by 0.74 percent, development bank decreased by 0.95 percent, finance decreased by 1.84 percent, hotel and tourism decreased by 1.74 percent, hydropower decreased by 0.99 percent and investment decreased by 0.44 percent.
Similarly, life insurance decreased by 0.63 percent, production and processing decreased by 0.52 percent, microfinance decreased by 1.10 percent, mutual funds decreased by 0.02 percent, non-life insurance decreased by 0.38 percent and other groups decreased by 1.39 percent.
The share price of Guardian Microlife Insurance Limited has entered a positive circuit. The share price of Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited decreased by 5.56 percent. Based on the transaction amount and the number of shares traded, the highest number of shares of Himalayan Reinsurance Limited worth Rs. 642.566 million were bought and sold today.
