According to Revathiraman Adhikari, spokesperson for Pashupati Area Development Fund, the eastern gate will be open throughout the day this year. Earlier, this door used to be open only for a while during Shivratri.

The East Gate is opened for the first time in 14 years.

Taking care of the health of the devotees, a health camp has also been set up on the Pashupati premises.
