KATHMANDU: An earthquake struck Kathmandu and surrounding areas at around 6:53 AM on Tuesday morning.
The epicenter of the earthquake has been confirmed to be in Dinggye County, Tibet, located on the Nepal-China border.
According to the Department of Mines and Geology, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the region at 6:50 AM on Tuesday morning.
The tremors were felt across most parts of Nepal, with significant shaking reported in the Tibetan region as well as from the eastern to central areas of Nepal.
