Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel and Asian Development Bank (ADB) Vice President Sichin Chhin met today to discuss educational reform in Nepal.
During the meeting, Minister Poudel made various proposals for the education sector reform in Nepal, according to the Secretariat of the Minister. Minister Poudel proposed to build the physical infrastructure of all the schools in three years, complete the teaching posts, rebuild the campuses, manage the training of teachers, expand the technical education and provide ICT labs in all educational institutions. Vice President Chhin has expressed his commitment to support Minister Poudel's proposal.
He also reminded that ADB has continued to provide its support in the field of education and expressed further commitment to provide assistance in the field of school sector development program, technical and vocational education, training and higher education in the coming days.
