The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested two persons in possession of 25 grams of body parts of wildlife in Godawari Municipality-4 of Lalitpur district, on Tuesday.

The arrested have been identified as Lal Bahadur Ghalan (48) of Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality in Makawanpur district and Udaya Kumar Koirala (35) of Gaurigunj Rural Municipality-3 in Jhapa district.

The duo were allegedly trying to illegally sell the body parts of wildlife. Acting on a tip-off, the CIB arrested them from Thaiba on Monday. Police suspected the body parts could be of musk deer.

Meanwhile, the arrested have been handed over to the Godawari-based Forest Division Office. They will be tried under the National Park and Wildlife Act (1973), informed the CIB.
