After the cabinet meeting on Sunday appointed Dhiraj Pratap Singh as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Additional Inspector Generals (AIGs) Bishwaraj Pokharel and Sahakul Bahadur Thapa started discussions to file a petition in the Supreme Court against him.
A source close to Pokhrel said, "There has never been so much injustice in the history of Nepal Police. He is discussing about going to court."
Singh was appointed AIG a year after Pokhrel and Thapa became AIGs. Therefore, Pokhrel and Thapa are preparing to go to court demanding the post of Inspector General to be given on the basis of seniority and performance.
