14 peaks screening on the banks of Narayani river

This Thursday 24th March 2022, at 4 pm, a well-known documentary called 14 peaks: Nothing is impossible will be screened on the banks of Narayani river in Chitwan District of Nepal. The screening is free of cost.

Nirmal Purja, the star of the Netflix documentary, will also be present in the screening. In this documentary, various moments of his difficult mountaineering as well as his success in setting a world record are captured.


Purja, himself made an announcement on his Facebook. He was welcomed at the Guinness World Records headquarters in London for an interview and presentation of a certificate recently.

 "This project was never about name or fame," says Purja. "When you have a big purpose, and your heart and soul is pure, things happen."


The documentary is being screened worldwide. And it has helped to introduce Nepalis to the world in a bold way. It is also believed that the documentary will help in the promotion of tourism in Nepal. Arohi Purja has also been appointed by the Nepal Tourism Board as Nepal's Goodwill Ambassador.


This documentary features scenes from April 2019 onwards. Nirmal had started a campaign to climb 14 mountains in the world and managed to set a world record by climbing 14 mountains in a span of seven months. He went to Dhaulagiri after Annapurna which is considered to be one of the hardest mountains to climb. He had stunned the world by climbing the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, as well as many other mountains in a matter of days.

Nirmal was also one of the 354 mountaineers who were present at the 'Most ascents of Everest in one day', on 23 May 2019, when he took a photograph which went viral.

Purja was born on July 25, 1983 in Myagdi, Nepal. He is best known for his work at 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible (2021), Mount Everest: Then and Now (2021) and K Burley (2019).
