The much awaited film of Nirmal Purja’s ‘14 peaks: nothing is impossible’, will stream from today in Netflix worldwide. The film backed by Netflix will be translated into 31 different languages.
In an earlier statement Purja said ‘I wanted the 14 peaks challenge to inspire the people who love mountains’. He further stated ‘more than that I also want everyone to know that if you set your mind into something you can achieve it, no matter who you are and where you come from’.
The trailer of the film talks about a fearless Nepali mountaineer ‘Nirmal Purja’ as he embarks on a seemingly impossible quest to summit all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks in seven months.
The film is directed by Torquil Jones.
Born on July 25, 1983, Purja has also served in the British Armed Forces as a Nepalese Gukrha. He now holds a World record for climbing Mount Everest, Lhotse and Makalu in 48 hours. Purja also holds the record of fastest ascent of all fourteen eight-thousander mountains of Earth with record time of 6 months and 6 days with supplemental oxygen aid and the record for the First-ever winter ascent of Mount K2.
The trailer of the 14 peaks was released on November 3. The trailer has got 1.6 million views along with 61K likes as of now.
Purja also holds a book named ‘Beyond Possible: One Soldier, Fourteen Peaks -- My Life in the Death Zone’.
