KATHMANDU: After completing its filming, the much-awaited Nepali film Jerry: On Top has officially announced its release date. The film, produced by Saroj Nyaupane, will hit theaters on October 31 next year, strategically timed for the festive Tihar season. This decision comes after extensive discussions with distributors to ensure the movie’s success during a high-traffic period for Nepali films. Directed by Sujoy Gurung, Jerry: On Top stars popular actors Anmol KC, Jassita Gurung, Aanchal Sharma, Kedar Ghimire, Bhuvan KC, Usha Khadgi, among others. The film is shot against stunning backdrops, with several of its scenes being captured at well-known sites such as Everest Base Camp, Kathmandu, and Mustang. Some of the climactic sequences of the film were also shot in a huge, specially constructed grand set in Kathmandu.

Priced at 6 crore rupees, the film has already sold off its global market rights, which has created buzz around its global popularity.
With the blockbuster success of Nepali films at the box office over the Dashain and Tihar festivals, the release of Jerry: On Top has been set for Tihar, with an expectation to have huge footfalls during the festive season.
