Kathmandu: The production team has claimed that the film, which was released last Friday has grossed over 40 million rupees in a week. ‘Hostel 3’ has entered its second week of release since Friday and earning well. The film’s production team has announced that the film has grossed Rs 43.2 million as of Thursday. Sashan Kandel, director of ‘Hostel 3’, who is also the owner of film production company Sammaan Entertainment, said that the earning of the film were made public, based on reports received from distributors. Kandel said, “The report given to us by the distributor is the official one. The report given by the distributor till Thursday shows a gross collection of Rs 43.2 million”.
According to him, the film has collected Rs 23 million in the Kathmandu Valley and Rs 22 million outside the valley. The film is distributed in Kathmandu by Kaafia Films led by Govinda Shahi and outside the valley by RR Films led by Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha. The film stars Paras Bam Thakuri, Simran Pant, Ashish Ghimire, Padam Tamang, Hena Nagarkoti, Rihan Giri, Sama Parajuli, among others in the lead roles. Ashish Purush, Rohan Shrestha, Umar Khan, and Santosh Baniya are also in the film. Praveen Khatiwada plays the role of the warden. The film, with screenplay and dialogues written by Madhav Sharma, is produced by Suresh Kandel, Karna Karki, and Govinda Adhikari, while the co-producers are Shishir Gyawali, Anish Sigdel, Kundan Gupta, and Ganesh Magar.
