KATHMANDU: The popular band ‘Kandara’, which is on tour in Australia, has also made waves in Melbourne. The band performed their famous songs at the Nepal Festival 2025 held there. Kandara’s Australia tour, which started last week from Adelaide, was magnificent this time in Melbourne. The band reminded the importance of Nepal and Nepaliness through their songs in the event attended by thousands of Nepalis. During the performance, the audience embraced the band’s musical spirit, chanting “Jai Nepal”.
During the event, the band also paid tribute to musician Gopal Yonjan. After successful performances in Melbourne and Adelaide, Kandara is now set to perform in Canberra, Hobart and Brisbane. The tour will conclude with a concert in Newcastle on April 13. The festival was organized by the Nepali Non-Resident Association (NRNA) Australia with the aim of spreading Nepali music, culture, and identity around the world. It is said that the festival aims to reflect the unity of the community and connect the new generation with Nepali culture and tradition.
