Kathmandu: A new poster of singer and actor Prakash Saput’s film ‘Basant’ has been released. Saput and top artist Swastima Khadka are featured in the poster. The poster shows romantic vibes of two characters walking towards school. The blooming redbuds and the hilly terrain in the background reflect the setting and surroundings of the film. Releasing the poster, Saput wrote, “Just as spring has arrived, incorporating the various colors of nature. Similarly, the movie ‘Basant’ has been created by incorporating the various colors of society.
Among those colors, the most beautiful color is the color of love. ‘Basant’ is made of a beautiful color of love.” The film, which will be released simultaneously in Nepal and abroad from Chaitra 22, stars Prabhatpal Thakuri, Shree Shivansi, Urmila Lamgade, Khadak Bahadur Pun, Anup Baral, Kamalmani Nepal, Prakash Ghimire, and others. The film has music, screenplay and direction by the director himself. The film is based on the story of a young man from a Dalit family who dreams of becoming a writer and about the struggle he faces to pursue it. Prakash himself is also seen in the lead role of Basant. The film was shot in Saput’s birthplace Baglung, Kathmandu and various places in the Terai.
