If that song were to be released today, it would definitely have gone viral, as it captured the essence of Nepali music in a way only few songs successfully have. The song was a hit to an extend that the production team couldn’t release the video immediately just because the song itself created an immense hype and publicity promoting the movie to a whole new level. But just when the film started to create its magic, the worst happened-the earthquake on Baishakh 12 (April 25) immediately after the release stopped the screening of the film. Although it took such a denting, Resham Filili still went on to win many hearts in Nepali cinema.
Now, almost a decade later, its highly anticipated sequel Pheri Resham Filili releases on the 14th of Falgun (February 26). The fans are eagerly waiting for its release, and the production team is making sure that the excitement sustains with the sequel to the evergreen song Jalma. Recently, the filmmakers released a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the shoot featuring lead actors Vinay Shrestha and Supushpa Bhatt in a still where they are seen sitting under colorful umbrellas with their hands tied, oozing intriguing vibes.
The new song ‘Jalma’ is promised to be yet another hit, much like its predecessor. The music is composed by well-known Nepali music personality Kali Prasad Baskota, who also provides vocals for this song along with Somiya Baraily. It is written by Man Raj.
