Due to the obstruction of locals, the garbage of Kathmandu Valley has not been collected since February 13. The city has become foul-smelling as the garbage has not been picked up for 12 days.

Wastage at 18 local levels of Kathmandu Valley could not be picked up due to obstruction by the residents of Pasanglamu Highway saying that the road leading to Sisdol in Nuwakot was not repaired on time. Garbage has been piled up in the main streets of the valley for the past 12 days.

According to the CPN (Maoist), the problem has arisen due to the non-completion of the long-term garbage management site under construction at Bancharedanda, two kilometers away from the place where the garbage is being managed.
