The Dhulikhel Municipality of Kavrepalanchowk has closed all schools for a week from today due to the cold weather as a result of rains on Wednesday. The municipality had issued a public notice on Wednesday stating that the school will be closed till January 5 as the children coming to school may get cold and other health problems during the pandemic due to decreasing temperature after rain.
The municipality has urged all the community and institutional schools in the city to remain closed due to the onset of winter and operate the schools only from January 7. Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, Taranath Luitel, said that they have requested all the schools to make arrangements for the continuation of the second quarterly examination after they open.
