Two youths who went missing have been found dead today. The deceased have been identified as Premsingh Rawat, 34, of Khira in Dasharathchanda Municipality-1 and Ghanshyam Singh Dhami, 19, of Siga Village Municipality-3.
Rawat, who has been missing since May 31, was found dead in the local Maeda forest today, said Acting Police Chief, Baitadi, Inspector Mohan Saund. Rawat's body was found rotting and stuck on a hill. According to the police, Rawat, who was unable to speak and was mentally retarded, may have died after falling down. Rawat's body has been handed over to his relatives.
Similarly, the body of Dhami was found hanging from a tree in Sallebagad of Sigas-3. His body has been kept at Patan Primary Health Center for autopsy. According to the District Police Office, Baitadi, both the incidents are under investigation.
