The Election Commission has stated that 20 million ballot papers will be printed for the local level election to be held on 13 April.
At a press conference held at the Commission on Thursday, Assistant Spokesperson Surya Prasad Aryal informed that about 20 million ballot papers would be printed for the local level election. He said that 10 per cent more ballot papers are being printed than the voters card.
According to Assistant Spokesperson Aryal, paper worth Rs. 110 million has been purchased for printing 20 million ballot papers. Ballot papers will be printed by the Public Education Materials.
He said that the commission has estimated that there will be 17.8 million votes in the election and the final voter list will be made public on March 27.
Similarly, program code of conduct awareness program is being conducted in 15 different places of the country regarding the implementation of election code of conduct.
