The National Land Commission, Surkhet, is to provide land ownership certificate to 417 households of Kotmajhkharka at Bheriganga municipality in Surkhet district in the first phase.
The Land Commission, Surkhet, is going to distribute the land ownership certificate to the people of Kotmajhkharka by completing all due processes determined by the National Land Commission Procedure-2078. The settlement is without a land ownership certificate since 2042 BS.
The Commission would hand over the land ownership certificate to Bheriganga municipality after completing all due process from Survey and Customs Office and the municipality would distribute it to them later.
Surkhet District Chairperson of Commission, Shreedhar Poudyal, said that 677 households of Kotmajhkharka had filed applications for the same, land ownership certificate would be distributed to 417 families in the first phase.
The land ownership certificate would be provided based on the details prepared by land-related commissions and committees formed in the past.
Chairperson Poudyal shared "A technical team has been making all preparations for the distribution of land ownership certificate. Preparation is on to provide land ownership certificate within a week."
The locals of Kotmajhkharka have been deprived of different services including banking and electricity since the lack of land ownership certificates.
