Police have arrested six people, including an Indian national, with brown heroin.
The Bureau of Drug Control has arrested Vivek Thayana, 27, of Bhaktapur, Karna Bahadur Sailing, 34, of Taplejung, Yogesh Kumar Sailing, 24, of Jhapa, Hardeep Rajbanshi, 19, of Jhapa and Arjun Roy, 23, of West Bengal.
According to Bureau Superintendent of Police Jeevan Kumar Shrestha, they were arrested from Jhapa and Kathmandu on charges of drug trafficking. The value of the heroin seized from the arrested is estimated at Rs. 24,60,000, according to the bureau. According to the Bureau, the arrested are being investigated under the Narcotics Control Act, 1976 AD.
