A child has drowned in the Surahi River in Kapilvastu today. Eight-year-old Suchan Roka of Shivaraj Municipality-2 drowned while swimming.
According to Kapil Jung Shahi, Inspector at the Ward Police Office, Chandrauta, Roka, who was out of the house with his sister and a friend, drowned while swimming. Roka's sister had informed the locals about the incident.
Roka's body has been kept at the hospital for autopsy. Earlier, three youths drowned while swimming in the same place.
