A 16-year-old Nepali girl who was taken to India for sacrifice has been rescued. She was rescued from Mangalbazar Street in Delhi, India, on the initiative of the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau. After the rescue, the girl has been placed in the care of a social organization.

Before bringing the girl to India, the girl's weight, height, marks on her body, tattoos and whether or not she has menstruated were tested," said Bureau Director Senior Superintendent of Police Jeeban Kumar Shrestha.

According to him, the girl was physically examined twice before and after being brought to India. According to the police, the accused was found while searching for a girl weighing 60 kg, with a height of at least five feet four inches, no scars or tattoos on her body, no injuries on any part, and no menstruation.

The bureau held a press conference today and informed about the girl's rescue. "It is said that if the girl meets the Tantric Baba and the Tantric Baba is happy, she will get immense money.”

He added, "According to the preliminary investigation, it has been found that the accused has planned to meet the girl with the main Tantric Baba in a few days. Their plan is to sacrifice the girl on the next full moon."

Director Shrestha said that the girl was not aware of this. "We have been searching for the girl for two months. Based on the information received two days ago, the girl was rescued," he adds further.

The victim was brought to Kathmandu from her mother's house. She was taken hostage in Kathmandu. According to the police, the girl was taken to Pahadganj in Delhi, India, via the Nepal-India border in Sunauli, two days ago.

After reaching India, the girl was taken to Tantric Baba in three different places in India on different dates. Due to a strained relationship between mother and father, the girl was living in her maternal uncle’s house.

It has been revealed that the girl's close friends and women are involved in luring the girl.

Director Shrestha informed that the police have arrested six people involved in this incident and have started further investigation. According to the police statistics, 18 women have been rescued from different countries recently from being trafficked through various points of Nepal.
