The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has appointed journalist Dilliram Bhattarai as the member of Board of Directors (BoD) of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) on Thursday.
Bhattarai, an MA Graduate in Journalism, was appointed for a four-year term as per the minister-level decision. He was appointed to the BoD of RSS in accordance with Section B of Clause (8) 1 of RSS Act, 2019 BS.
Bhattarai had served the RSS in the same capacity for four years.
A permanent resident of Haldibari in Jhapa district, Bhattarai is Editor of Samaya Sandarva fortnightly and also teaches journalism.
