Nepali Congress has expelled a rebel candidate from Dhading from the party.
In a press release issued today, the Nepali Congress (NC) said that it had expelled those who had filed nominations against the coalition and the party's official candidate and those who were supporters and proposers.
According to a press release signed by Congress district president Ram Nath Adhikari, proponents and supporters including Devi Prasad Silwal of Benighat Rorang, Kalpana Adhikari of Neelkanth, Tekjung Lama of Netravati Dabjong, Phul Bahadur Tamang of Khaniyabas and Sarita Tamang of Khaniyabas are not party members since today.
All of them have registered their candidacies for the post of chairperson and vice-chairperson of the municipality saying that they have been treated unfairly. They repeatedly ignored the party's urgings to support the party's official candidate.
