Butwal is the center for economic development: Poudel

Communist Party of Nepal (UML) Vice-Chairman Bishnu Poudel has said that Butwal will be the center in terms of economic, human and material development.

Addressing a gathering of industrialists in Butwal today, he said that Butwal would reach new heights after the completion of ongoing schemes. "Rupendehi is at the forefront of physical and human development. Other places have to learn from here. There is not much to do here now, only the plan started here will be completed, ”he said.

Poudel, who is also the former finance minister, recalled that when he was the finance minister, he brought a budget that would encourage the private sector, adding that the economy was not allowed to weaken even during the Covid-19 Pandemic. "All the industrialists praised us when we brought the budget. Institutionally, that level of support is rare, ”he said.

Stating that there should be coordination between the government, cooperatives and the private sector to move the economy forward, he said that a UML-led government was needed to create a conducive environment for the private sector.
