A mother and daughter died of Aringal bites in Salyan. One person got injured.
Santosh Khanal, Information Officer of District Police Office Salyan said that among the dead are 21-year-old Shobha Budhathoki and her 4-year-old daughter Prati Budhathoki of Siddhakumakh Rural Municipality-1 Hamphal. Local Naveen Basnet is undergoing treatment in Srinagar.
On Monday evening, when he was returning home after cutting paddy, he was bitten by an Aringal. After being bitten by an earingle, the mother and daughter were referred to Kohlpur in Banke after general treatment at a hospital in Salyan, Srinagar.
Information officer Khanal said that the daughter died on the way to Kohalpur and her mother died during treatment at Kohalpur Medical College. The bodies of both the deceased have been kept in the district hospital Salyan for post-mortem.
