Death toll from jeep accident reaches six

The death toll in a jeep accident at Waling-12 Dandakharka Phirphire in Syangja has reached six. 50-year-old Ang Bahadur Dala of Waling-12 Dandakharka, who was severely injured in the accident died this morning while undergoing treatment at Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara. After his death the toll has reached six, said Padma Raj Thapa, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Syangja.

The other five are undergoing treatment at Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara. All the victims are from the same village. The village is now in mourning as all the dead and injured are from the same village. The jeep (Ga 1 Ja 7399) coming from Dandakharka of Waling Municipality-12 to Byantari had met with an accident on Sunday morning. The jeep had fallen about 200 meters from the rural unpaved road.
