Medical goods provided by Minister for Forest and Environment Prem Bahadur Ale have reached the Doti district.
The medical equipment used in the treatment of COVID-19 patients includes medicines used to treat infected people, 75 filled oxygen cylinders, 150 thousand surgical masks, three oxygen concentrators, 30 HDU beds, antigen kits, and sanitisers, said the minister’s personal secretary Hemanta Regmi. “The HDU beds have been supplied in government grant and other medical equipments have been purchased by the minister on his own,” he said.
The minister’s assistance has been of great help to treat infected people, said the medical superintendent at the district hospital, Krishna Raj Joshi. The donated medical equipment is worth over Rs 10 million.
Likewise, the minister has provided 50 filled oxygen cylinders, 50 thousand face masks, antigen kits, surgical masks, and sanitisers to Far West Provincial Hospital, Kailali.
The medical equipment provided by the minister would be distributed at all nine local units in the district today itself, it has been said.
