FSU election voting starts

 Voting for the leadership of the  Free Student Union (FSU) election has begun. Polling was scheduled to start at 8 am on the campuses of Tribhuvan University, but polling started a little late.

It will continue till 4 pm. Security has been tightened on the campuses targeting the elections.

FSU president, secretary, treasurer, and 50 percent of members will be elected through a direct election system. Likewise, the vice president, joint secretary, and 50 percent of the members will be elected through the proportional system.

The elections are being held in 62 individual and 1,040 TU-affiliated campuses. In some campuses, leadership has been elected unopposed.

According to the university, the results may be announced sooner or later depending on the number of students and the situation.

Swaviyu is a common organization of students studying in the campus. Swaviyu is responsible for creating and implementing various programs to protect the rights and interests of students.
