The hearings on the writ petitions filed against the dissolution of the House of Representatives have been scheduled for June 6. The date for the hearing has been shifted due to the differences that have surfaced regarding the composition of the constitutional bench.

Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana has said that the hearing will take place through a constitutional bench on June 6. He also informed that justices in the constitutional bench will be appointed based on seniority.

Chief Justice Rana mentioned that necessary amendments would be made to the guidelines regarding the formation of the constitutional bench and justices will be appointed based on seniority. He said he hoped this would satisfy both the sides and the proceedings would move in a smooth manner.

Meanwhile, Justices Dipak Karki and Anand Mohan Bhattarai have already withdrawn from the constitutional bench while Justices Tej Bahadur KC and Bam Kumar Shrestha have refused to vacate the bench.
