Minister for Forests and Environment Pradeep Yadav has used his good offices in removing obstacles in the construction of the Bhelchhada, Kadamandaun, Gairagaun and Silgadhi water supply project. This national pride project had been stalled for many years as the Khaptad National Park Office was opposed to its construction arguing that it will hamper the national park.
The project brings water from Bhelchhada has to Silgadhi and the Park Office had been opposed to it.
Minister Yadav through a ministry-level decision on August 3 approved the project to provide drinking water to the local consumers in an easy manner on the condition that the drinking water to be supplied by the project would not be used for any commercial purpose, Minister Yadav's Secretariat said.
He has also made a decision that the project should be operated and repaired as per the appropriate process determined by the Department and no additions can be made in the DPR structures.
Similarly, Minister Yadav made a decision requiring the approval of the water supply project as per Rule 34 of the Khaptad National Park Regulations, 2044 BS.
