Nepal reports 263 new COVID cases

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Saturday confirmed the detection of 263 new cases of coronavirus infection. Out of which, 101 people have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in the antigen test. With this, the total positive COVID count has reached 146,762(Antigen).

Likewise, the MoHP has recorded no deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The ministry on May 19, 2021, recorded 184 deaths, the highest daily number. As of Saturday, the nationwide death toll from COVID has reached 146,762. Presently, there are 5434 active cases in Nepal.

Meanwhile, 501 patients of COVID-19 have recovered in the past 24 hours. As of Saturday, a total of 146,762 people have recovered from the viral disease, the data released by the MoHP showed. Presently, the recovery rate stands at 98.2 percent while the fatality rate is 1.2 percent.
