No intention of hurting businessmen: Home Minister

The government is making efforts to create an environment for the promotion, protection, and income generation of indigenous industries and businesses

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has said that the government is making efforts to create an environment for the promotion, protection, and income generation of indigenous industries and businesses.

In a meeting with the team of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Ministry of Home Affairs today, Home Minister Khand said that the promotion of industry and business would help increase the revenue of the state and increase the budget.

Home Minister Khan also said that the government was making efforts to solve the problems faced by the entrepreneurs. "The government is ready to solve the problems faced by the entrepreneurs. The government is committed to creating a conducive business environment by resolving the issues as per the law. The government does not intend to hurt the entrepreneurs," he said.

The Home Minister stressed the need for the industrialists to support the government by operating their businesses in accordance with the policies and laws enacted by the state. During the meeting, Chairman of the Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry Subodh Kumar Gupta informed about the problems faced by the industrialists in Birgunj.

The industrialists had complained that the price of medicines had not been reviewed for the last seven to eight years, customs and borders were not in order, security was not tight at the border, and security personnel was very interested in internal smuggling. In response, Home Minister Khand assured to take initiative to solve the problem.
