One person has been arrested for attacking another person with a khukuri in a restaurant in Nawalparasi Bardghat Municipality-4 On Tuesday night, two people were attacked among whom one died and the other is in critical condition.
According to DSP Bhojraj Pandey, 50-year-old Gyanendra Bahadur Rana of Bardghat Municipality-2 was arrested for his involvement in the incident.
Police said that Rana, who reached the restaurant at around 9 o'clock on Tuesday night, attacked the owner of the shop, 42-year-old Bishnu Kumari Kauchha, and 46-year-old Dilip Kumar Pun, who was sitting in the room.
Pun, who was seriously injured, died on Tuesday night during treatment. The deceased was a resident of Badigad Rural Municipality-4, Baglung. Bishnu, who is undergoing treatment at Bhairawa Medical College, and is in critical condition, is also from Baglung's Badigad.
Police said that for the past 4-5 years, Bishnu has been running a restaurant in Bardghat alone.
DSP Pandey said that Rana, who ran away after the attack, was arrested from his own house. The incident is being investigated.
