Preparations for Mahashivratri have been started at various places in the Pashupatinath area. As Mahashivratri approaches, various areas of Pashupatinath are now decorated with flowers and electric lights. In collaboration with the Marwadi Committee, work is being done to decorate the Pashupatinath temple area with flowers.
According to Dr. Milan Thapa, Member Secretary of Pashupati Area Development Fund, the main place of Pashupatinath temple has been painted and decorated with lights. Likewise, member secretary Dr. Thapa said that the work of painting the walls of the Pashupati area and repairing the broken stairs has started.

The committee has estimated that more than 1 million devotees will visit Pashupatinath this year. Even though there is no hesitation in the Pashupatinath area, the staff of the fund themselves says that there is a problem due to the lack of toilets.
It is estimated that at least 2 million rupees will be spent on decorating the Pashupatinath area with flowers. Similarly, Member Secretary Dr. Thapa informed that since Jagadguru Shankaracharya will come to Lord Pashupatinath this year, the Pashupati area will be made more beautiful and attractive.
According to him, Jagadguru Shankaracharya will come to Pashupatinath on the 4th of February and deliver a sermon here. Even though there is still time for Mahashivratri, the movement of devotees is already increasing in Pashupati. It is said that there has been an increase in the number of sadhus coming to Pashupatinath from neighboring India.
Purnasangam Jethara, a member of the Pashupati Kshetra Development Fund, informed that since Pashupatinath has been decorated with various colors including lights, now this area has become more charming and attractive.
The crowds of monks and saints who have come for Mahashivratri have increased in every corner of Pashupati.
