Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed the contractor company and project implementation unit to speed up retrofitting of Singha Durbar's west façade.
PM Dahal made such direction during an onsite inspection of ongoing retrofitting of Singha Dubar on Thursday. He however observed that it was satisfying to see the quake-damaged Singha Durbar back to its original form. "The works are going on well. However, complete it quickly," he urged.
He held discussion with the representatives of the central project implementation unit, Sharma New Technical JV, and also saw the 3D animation of exterior and interior sections that could be seen after the completion of reconstruction. On the occasion, he also extended thanks to all engineers, technicians and officials involved in the reconstruction.
On the occasion, Minister for Urban Development, Sita Gurung, shared that retrofitting of the Singha Durbar had reached final stage. Now, interior works would be intensified.
Homework is being carried out to set up the Office of the Prime Minister and Chief Secretary in the undergoing western front of the building, according to her.
The central project implementation unit under the Ministry of Urban Development has been retrofitting the Singha Durbar. Nearly 95 percent of the retrofitting has completed, it was shared.
