Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has extended special gratitude to members of House of Representatives. "I want to extend special thanks to lawmakers and the Parliament as a whole for the vote of confidence from nearly all the HoR members," he said.
After winning the vote of confidence from the HoR, PM Dahal used his social media account to state, "I vow to move ahead firmly in the journey of social justice, good governance and prosperity in respect of the trust laid on me."
The Prime Minister got more than two-third vote of confidence from HoR. A total of 268 votes were cast in favour of PM Dahal while two against him. President Bidya Devi Bhandari had appointed Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Dahal to the post of the Prime Minister on December 25.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) has entered the Parliament as the third largest party from the election of the House of Representatives held on November 20.
The Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Centre), Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, CPN (Unified Socialist), Nagarik Unmukti Party, Janamat Party and some independent lawmakers gave vote of confidence to PM Dahal today.
