BANGKOK: Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli, who is on an official visit to Thailand, met with Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra today.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Chief Advisor to PM Oli Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic Development Advisor Dr. Yub Raj Khatiwada, Chief Secretary Eak Narayan Aryal, and Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amrit Bahadur Rai, among others.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shinawatra welcomed Prime Minister Oli at a government building in Thailand.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an agreement on collaboration in the cultural and tourism sectors is set to be signed following the meeting between the two Prime Ministers.
Additionally, six memoranda of understanding (MOUs) will be exchanged between various non-governmental and business organizations from both countries. The two leaders are also scheduled to hold a joint press conference.
Prime Minister Oli will also participate in a luncheon hosted by his Thai counterpart and is scheduled to have a courtesy meeting with the King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn, later today. PM Oli is expected to return to Nepal on April 5.
