Postmortem of plane crash victims begins

The postmortem of the bodies of those killed in the crash of the Tara Air plane has begun. The Twin Otter with call sign 9N-AET had crashed in a mountain at Sanosare of Thasang Rural Municipality-2 on Sunday, killing all 22 people on board, including three crew members.

Of the bodies being examined at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, a postmortem of 10 has been completed, said the hospital.

The hospital management said the bodies of the deceased will be handed over to the bereaved families after the completion of all postmortems.

Of the dead, 16 were Nepali nationals, four Indian and two German.
