A python discovered during road expansion works in Jalbire, Byas Municipality-12, Tanahu district, has been rescued. The python was discovered during road construction on the Muglin-Pokhara highway.
The python was rescued by the Division Forest Office in Tanahu after workers spotted it and informed the office. The python was kept in a cage at the Division Forest Office, according to Division Forest Office chief Komal Raj Kafle.
The 6.5-meter-long python weighs 10 kilograms. According to Kafle, it will be released safely into the forest.
