SEE exam begins today

The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) is starting across the country from today. More than 500,000 students are participating in the exam.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Examination Board (NEB) was not able to conduct physical examination for two years. The board had to publish the results on the basis of an internal evaluation conducted by the school last year. 

According to SEE Controller of Examinations Arjun Rayamajhi, 2,007 examination centers have been set up across the country for this year's examinations. A total of 514,967 students from 11,615 schools had filled the application form for the examination, out of which 157,914 are male students and 257,053 are female students. 

Manang has the lowest number students in the examination with 43 students. According to SEE Exam Controller Arjun Raimajhi, 20 students of a school run by a Nepali in Japan are also participating in SEE. 

Chairman of the National Examination Board, Mahashram Sharma, said that the results will be verified and published after the State Examination Management Committee sends the marks of the students. Chairman Sharma said that the board aims to publish the results of SEE before the academic session of class 11 begins.
