The Mid-West University (MU) has dismissed two lecturers from the central campus. Lecturer Bishwa Nath Yadav, program director of engineering faculty master’s programme and lecturer Sujan Pant of School of Law were dismissed from the post.
Yadav was a permanent faculty while Panta was hired on a contract basis.
According to Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nanda Bahadur Singh, they were dismissed from the service as they were found guilty of committing irregularities. Pant was found guilty of leaking out the questions before the exam while Yadav was found giving marks to students arbitrarily.
In a virtual press meet today, VC Singh shared that it was a serious crime in the academic sector therefore they were dismissed from the service.
